I am working on some new code for my sinking neglected web page. Trying to embed all my digital things into a single web portal with a web 2.0 interface. I still think the company that does this, and does not make it proprietary will rule the home made web page market. Facebook, twitter, picasa, and blogger all in a single page. iweb from Apple is still tied too closely to the Apple made universe, and google is way too open source for me.
I am looking at wordpress as a semi solution. It looks powerful enough, and allows you to add some of you outside sites into it. I just want a page that makes updating a fun task, and not a 3 hour process involving embedding code and html.
